Vita Group and developers MRP have teamed up for a proposed Belfast student accommodation development, comprising 271 studio apartments.

The development site is located within close reach of the city centre, on the corner of Little Victoria Street and Bruce Street.

Developers MRP are the property development and investment division of McAleer & Rushe, which operate out of offices in London, Belfast, Dublin and Cookstown.

Set for a completion date of Summer 2023, the 15-storey building will be the third partnership between Vita Group and MRP, following two projects in Coventry and Birmingham.

Todds Architects designed the scheme and construction initially began in January 2022 by McAleer & Rushe.

Chief Operating Officer for Vita Group, Max Bielby, commented on the project: "The city attracts top talent from around the world to study at its universities and is currently underserved by existing PBSA.

"This puts pressures on the local housing market and so there is pent-up demand for quality student accommodation, helping to attract more talent from Northern Ireland and around the world.

"We are pleased to build on our partnership with MRP in creating the best student living experience Belfast has ever seen."
